Heuchera americana

Heuchera americana
12 inches tall x 24inches wide
Greenish flowers on 24 inch tall stems. Not terribly attractive in flower.
Green foliage with silver veil, and red veins/marbling. Often has bright orange fall color.

Heuchera americana is a widespread eastern species ranging from Ontario south to Georgia and from Indiana east to New York. It is found in woodlands and prefers rich but well-drained soil and afternoon shade. Foliage is green, often with some silver veil and red to burgundy veins. Typically good fall color as well. There are many forms and strains available in the trade and it has been widely used in hybridizing.
